Built by Peter Foard of Mevagissey and launched in 1991, Mystery was the first boat owned by Charlestown Rowing Club and still sees regular use today. Mystery is named after a former four oared coastguard gig which operated in the area. Mystery was built so that it could be fitted with a dipping lug rig built by the Square Sail Shipyard which operates the square sail ships based in Charlestown. Mystery underwent a full repaint and resealing during the winter of 2007/8. Mystery is used as a day to day training boat and is rarely used in races. Mystery is likely to see more intensive use in the 2008 season after the sale of 'Tormentor' to Padstow Rowing Club in late 2007.
